The impact of TikTok on university students' academic lives is examined in this study. It looks into how kids' learning habits and mental health are impacted by TikTok. The study also examines if TikTok enhances or diminishes students' ability to focus academically, pay attention over extended periods of time, and manage their time effectively. It also assesses the impact of TikTok on students' involvement in extracurricular activities and social relationships. The study's theoretical underpinning, the Distraction-Conflict theory, asserts that the presence of outside stimuli, such as social media, produces a cognitive conflict between focusing on a primary task and attending to the distraction, which may lead to a decline in academic performance and an increase in psychological strain. According to the notion, those who use media often are also more prone to be influenced by it, which can result in addictive behaviors and warped reality beliefs. A Google Forms survey was used to collect data from university students as part of this quantitative research study. The findings are meant to offer useful information to assist educators and policymakers in developing strategies to reduce the negative effects of TikTok usage on children's academic performance and mental health.
