From Walls to Willpower: The Influence of School Ambiance on Enthusiasm of Secondary School Teachers

The school ambiance is significantly influences teachers’ enthusiasm. This study explore the relation between secondary school ambiance and teacher enthusiasm by concentrating on the ways in which administrative, social, and environmental factors influence teachers' motivation level. A quantitative research design was used with surveys method to gather data. The sample consisted on 547 secondary school teachers by using proportionate sampling techniques. The physical facilities, academic atmosphere, social environment, and administrative support by head-teachers were all considered as important elements of school ambiance in this study. The measurement of teachers' enthusiasm was based on their teaching affection, involvement in the classroom, dedication to their professional development, and emotional understandings with their students. The findings showed a significant positive correlation between more teacher enthusiasm and a supportive school climate. Schools with well-maintained facilities, strong administrative support, and a collaborative culture showed higher levels of motivation and engagement. The findings of the study highlight the importance of fostering a positive school ambiance to enhance teacher effectiveness, motivation, and job satisfaction. Policymakers and school administrators should prioritize strategies such as resource allocation, professional development programs, and supportive leadership practices. By cultivating a nurturing school environment, institutions can boost teacher enthusiasm, leading to improved student outcomes and greater academic success.
