Abstract

The notion of Quality of Life (QoL) is a valid term that encompasses diverse understandings of the good life. The specific elements comprising QoL could vary significantly across cultures, communities, and individuals. This study assesses the QoL among various stakeholders at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam (SAU), estimates their levels, and identifies factors, including what constitutes QoL in the local people's view. Utilising the quantitative information collected by surveying 240 respondents using a stratified sampling method, and analysis (descriptive and inferential) was done using SPSS software. Quantitative data indicate that stakeholders prioritise education and financial stability. Regarding QoL, the respondents reported an average level (M = 6.2504), and Mental Health was lowest (Mean = 5.97).  Regression analysis reveals that socioeconomic background, particularly income (β = 1.171, p = 0.011), education level (β = 0.227, p = 0.008), and Gender showed a marginal adverse effect (β = -0.164, p = 0.047). Findings significantly affect respondents' life satisfaction and are a significant factor in achieving a better quality of life. The study concludes that improving QoL requires a multifaceted approach that incorporates access to the centrality of socioeconomic and environmental factors, educational opportunities, and economic security, all of which are vital to enhancing individual and societal well-being in shaping QoL. Besides, the results provide actionable insights for policymakers and institutions to address the critical life domains that influence overall happiness and well-being for academic stakeholders.
