A growth mindset is the belief that abilities can be developed through effort and persistence. Students with this mindset perceive challenges as opportunities for growth, which fosters optimism and a sense of school connectedness. The current study analyzes the effect of a growth mindset on students’ school connection and optimism at Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CP&WB) institution in Gujranwala with the following objectives: a) to analyze the relationship between students’ growth mindset and school connection at the CP&WB institution in Gujranwala, b) to analyze the relationship between students’ growth mindset and their optimism at the  CP&WB institution in  Gujranwala, c) to analyze the effect of a growth mindset on students’ school connection and optimism at the CP&WB institution in Gujranwala. The positivist paradigm guided this study. The researcher used a structured quantitative tool. The Likert scale was directly administered to all 95 enrolled students. Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between growth mindset, school connection, and optimism. This suggests that believing in the ability to improve through effort and persistence has a positive impact on both students’ social and emotional well-being.
